The Baur Collection: Japanese Sword-Fittings and Associated Metalwork

The Baur Collection: Japanese Sword-Fittings and Associated Metalwork by B.W. Robinson. 1980.
444 pages in English.
Alfred Baur ammassed his collection at the beginning of the 20th century. He had a good eye; there are many, many fine and important pieces included in this book. 2591 pieces are well described (and this is only the book on Nihonto; there are other books on other subjects. He was a voracious collector.) and the majority of them are illustarated in black & white and color. Pieces are arranged by type and school, and there are indexes of family name, art name, and subject represented, all of which makes this a very useful reference.
