Soshu Tametsugu Katana
It is said that Tametsugu, who was a son of Go Yoshihiro of Etchu Province and a student of Etchu Norishige, moved to Fuwa-gun in Mino Province. There are a few extant works of Tametsugu with mei including a wakizashi with the mei of ‘Noshu Ju Fujiwara no Tametsugu’ and a production date of the Oan Era.
Tametsugu was reported as a son of Go Yoshihiro and this sword reminds Go Yoshihiro's work.
This blade is one of the best works from Soshu Tametsugu what you will find here in Europe. A komplete set like these, is extrem hard to find on the sword market today.
