Bizen Omiya Katana
The name of the Omiya school derives traditionally from the fact thats the founder of this school, Kunimori had moved to Bizen from Kyo Inokuma Omiya.
The Omiya smith´s worked from the middle Kamakura period to end of Muromachi period.
The most well-known names of the Omiya school are: Kunimori, Sukemori, Moroshige, Moritoshi, Moritsugu, Morokage and Morikage and still many different.
Blades from the early period of the Omiya school remained received unfortunately none.
The most blades are all from the Nanbokucho period.
This blade has an exellent choji midare hamon with exellent Utsuri. The Jitetsu is a fine itame.
The Ji-nie are plentifully present and very beautiful.
The blade shows tus perfectly the exemplary characteristics of the Omiya school like it for the Nabokucho period typical was.
